There are plenty of ways to save on gas this summer and tons of free gas promotions out there. Luckily, http://TravelPost.com is here to help you discover them.
Save on gas with these summer hotel gas promotions
First, many hotels offer special gas promotions for guests arriving by car, so make sure to ask your hotel or inn if they have any offers. The hotel promotional offers include vouchers or gift cards for gas. In general, it's the smaller, independent inns that are offering the deals. Guests typically need to stay for at least two nights, usually between Sunday and Thursday, to qualify for rebates or gift cards.
While this certainly isn't an exhaustive list of hotels and inns offering gas specials to guests, it should give you a decent idea of what's out there:
Best Western: Stay three nights or more at participating Best Western hotels and receive a $50 gas card. To qualify for the card, you must book through individual hotels or their Web sites. Use promo code Gas50 when booking online.
New York: The Paramount Hotel New York will refund up to $30 to guests who produce a receipt for gas purchased within 24 hours of their arrival (June 29-Sept. 4).
Kentucky: The 1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor offers mid-week guests who stay two nights or more a $25 gas rebate. Mention rebate when booking (through December 31).
Illinois: The Beall Mansion offers guests who mention the Tanks A Lot program when they reserve stays of two mid- week nights or more a $25 gas card at check-in (through September).
Missouri: The city of Springfield is offering $40 gas gift cards to visitors who vacation in the area during 2006. To receive the gift card, travelers must stay for two nights at a participating hotel, buy at least two tickets to the Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium and get a validation stamp from Bass Pro Shops. New Mexico: The Hawthorne Suites Ruidoso is offering a $50 gas card to guests who stay two nights or more.
California: The Lion's Head Guest House in Jamul, CA offers a $50 discount for a 2 night stay to help with the gas.
Colorado: Hunt Placer Inn in Breckenridge, CO is offering to reimburse guests for a tank of gas (up to $35) for a 2-3 night stay. Guests staying 4 or more nights will get their return trip compensated as well (up to $75). All you need is your dated gas receipt at check in.
Florida: La Mer Hotel and Dewey House in Key West, FL has a promotion called Getaway Gas N Go! Stay three nights at La Mer Hotel and Dewey House, Sunday through Thursday and receive a $25 gasoline gift card. Extend your stay a fourth night and receive an additional $15 gasoline gift card. Card presented at check-out.

Traverse City, MI: Through Labor Day, the Traverse City Convention and Visitors Bureau is offering $25 gas cards to visitors who stay four nights or more at one of its 43 participating hotels and inns. To get the cards, you've got to book through a special number, 1-800-714-0051.
Aspen, CO: Aspen's Got Free Gas and Wheels promotion is offering $50 gas cards to visitors who book two or more nights at a participating Aspen lodge. Guests will also get free parking, two free passes to the Aspen Recreation Center and two free bike rental vouchers.
Bend, OR: The Mt. Bachelor Village Resort is offering guests who book two nights or more $50 gas cards redeemable at Shell stations. You must book through the resort to qualify. Mention the Luxurious the Luxurious Getaway - Affordable Get-There package when booking.
